Kartek Off-Road 33-1/4" Total Length 300M 35 Spline Porsche 934 Racing Solid Axles
Our American made 300M IRS axles are specially designed for the needs of today's off-road racers. The axles are machined from 300M steel alloy. The axles can be ordered as either solid or gun-drilled, and in virtually any length.
All of our axles are REM "polished". The REM ¬ procedure is not a polishing process but rather a finishing process. REM Surface EngineeringÃÂs Isotropic Super Finishing or ISF ¬ gives our axles a near mirror like finish. This translates to a perfectly smooth plunge of your axle through your CV joint. Need a special length axle? We can cut any of our axles and regroove them for the clip. We charge per cut. Orders must be in before 12:00 Noon PST for same day shipping. Cut axles are NOT REFUNDABLE!
Our axles are domed on both ends. This dome adds 1/8" to each side, 1/4" overall. We stock axles in one inch increments. The hemispherical dome shape prevents the splines from being damaged which would prevent you from removing your CV joint. If we cut the axle, it will now be flat.

Measuring axle length for VW Stub axle, Micro Stub Axle, or Mid-Board Micro Stub Axle
- Check your toe in/out wheel alignment.
- Lift the hub up, so that if it did have an axle, the axle would be at zero degrees, parallel to the ground.
- Measure from the BOTTOM of the drive flange cup on the transmission to the BOTTOM of the stub axle cup on the brakes. Reference Figure A
- Subtract 1/4" to 3/8". That is your TOTAL axle length.
- Check both sides of the vehicle. It is very common to have two different length axles.
- Now use a PVC pipe as a mock-up axle. Cut grooves 1/4" down on either end into each end of the PVC for your clips. Install your CV joints and mock-up axle.
- Lift the vehicle so the tires drop down to full droop.
- Grab your mock-up axle and make sure that you have 1/4" to 3/8" free play. Reference Figure B
- If you have 1/4" to 3/8" free play at zero degrees and at full droop then you're perfect.
Measuring axle length for Mid-Board Foater Hub or Out-Board Floater Hub
- Check your toe in/out wheel alignment.
- Install CVs on the transmission and on the hub side.
- Lift the vehicle so the tires drop down to full droop. Reference Figure D
- Measure from OUTSIDE edge of star to OUTSIDE edge of star. This is your clip to clip dimension. Add 1/2" and that is your TOTAL axle length dimension.
